Last weekend, we decided to hit up the Makeoli brewery in Yangjae..but because it was closed due to an event, we had a few hours to kill. I had gone to Yongsan earlier and was meeting up with some friends who were already in the area. 

To meet up, we seriously walked forever to get here… literally.  WAY TO TRICK US TC!!!! :P She kept giving us partial instructions:

TC: when you get to the 7-Eleven after ~10 mins walk, call me
*calls
TC: ok, now keep walking forward until you see the bridge, then call me!
*calls
TC: ohhh, you see the stream? keep walking past it! you’ll walk past another metro station
At this point, I got a little skeptical >:P

Eventually, I think we walked for about 30 mins hahha passed the Yangjae’s Citizens’ Forest. We walked a whole station: Yangjae —> Citizen’s Forest Station

When we finally got there, the place was filled with flowers and plants of all kinds!

I thought these tiny little plants were the cutest!

My friend was obsessed with these 1000 won plants.  but I gotta admit, they are pretty cute!  I ended up adopting one :) even though I’m gonna be leaving Seoul in ~3 weeks, I decided they were too cute (and cheap) to resist!  I will leave this under my friend’s care until I return ^^

I have never seen such pretty orchids before!  My friend was explaining to me how difficult it is to get 3 orchids to bloom on one single stem…and these ones had at least 6 or 7 orchids on each stem!  Plastic surgery undergone on plants? I think so! LOL 

We all wanted those 1000 won plants and hunted everywhere for the nicest looking ones.  Finally, we stopped at this store that also sold these cute little animals along with the plants. 

And I ended up adopting this one :) 3000 won, I still need to name it!

I was disappointed that I didn’t bring my DSLR with me today, but these pictures on the iPhone didn’t turn out too badly ^^

Directions:

Yangjae Station Exit 8 and walk forever.. past the hill..past the 7-Eleven…past the bridge…past the stream…past the Citizen’s Forest…and after more walking, you’ll probably reach it soon enough! :P

A much closer station is probably Yangjae’s Citizen’s Forest Station.

AFTER i realized there was a costco nearby. Should’ve checked it out!
